At the top of this year I saw a story about a horse named Equinox. Equinox, who lives in Horse Haven at an animal sanctuary, prefers the open lands to people handling her. Living in Horse Haven, Equinox is free to roam the Horse Haven lands and have a safe space to truly be herself.

Equinox inspired me...When I turned to the business side of writing, all I heard was put your book on Amazon, create social media, etc etc. But that just isn't me. I like the slow and steady, I like the power of word of mouth, and I prefer being independent and The Independent.

This also means when it comes to books, I prefer to shop at independent bookstores. Even when I travel to other cities and countries, I am in a local independent bookstore buying a book (I even have a book in Arabic. To answer your question: no, I cannot read Arabic). So why would I place my book anywhere except with the independent?

I am truly humbled, beyond thankful and excited to announce that The Unknown Woman is on Brazos Bookstore's bookshelves awaiting discovery by a reader like yourself.
